Raegan Clapsaddle Boudoir

Welcome Guide

I am so excited that you are here! Inside, you will find a lot of information that you need to help you prepare for your session. It’s long, I know, but please read through it!

I get it, a boudoir session can be intimidating, but trust me, I will be there for you from start to finish.

This guide is made to help put you at ease and feel prepared for your session, so read through, and let me know if you have any other questions!

Hey, as you might know, I’m Raegan!

I’m so excited you chose me to document this special experience for you. I can’t wait to start planning and make you visions come to life.

Doing a boudoir session can change your life and how you see yourself. I do not take that lightly! I design each session to your wishes, desires, and vision.

Tell Me Your Story

What is your inspiration behind doing the session? It can be something super deep or it can be a simple reason. There is no wrong answer. What made you take the leap?

I love getting to know my clients, so that I can serve them to the very best of my ability. I want to know your story and the ‘why’ behind this session.

You might not have guessed, but 90% of my clients have never done a boudoir session before! So trust me when I say, I understand that you might have nerves and fears. Just know that I will be here to guide you every step of the way. There are no (bad, awkward, embarrassing) questions! Fire away!

What Types of Sessions Do I Offer?

Maternity - Typical Boudoir - Couples

No matter the session type, each session is crafted and customized to what the client is wanting. You want to do gold leaf all over your body? I’m in. How about an outdoor boudoir session? I’m down.

*Although I shoot people nude, I do not offer erotica sessions. If you have more questions about the difference, please do not hesitate to ask!

I also have another business that is not boudoir. It includes families, seniors, small weddings, and maternity.

Add-on To Your Session

Amp up your experience by adding on neon lights or a GIF!

I am always open to new ideas that you may have too!

Side note: I LOVE incorporating the shower/ bath in your session!

What Should I Wear??

Short answer: Anything that makes you feel good about yourself!!

Wear what is comfortable, but also, now is a great time to step outside of your comfort zone! Choose something that makes you feel good, whether it’s pretty or sexy. Choose something that is empowering to you.

Here is a list of ideas: lingerie, bodysuits, tank top, sweat bottoms, fancy dress, nude, garters, pjs, stockings, white t-shirts, spouses shirt, statement jackets, robes, corsets, jewelry, sweater, cowboy hat/ boots, heels, jeans, hat…. so many options. Don’t forget to shop your closet too!

Some of the best sessions incorporate a couple different ideas. Mix it up!

Make sure that whatever you choose fits! I pose your body where it is most flattering, but make sure that your clothes do not dig into your skin, resulting unnecessary bulges that are just from the tightness of your clothes.

Okay, but where do I shop?

Locations for Your Boudoir Session

Let me help you find the perfect location for your unforgettable boudoir session.

  • Your home. Some people automatically say no to this option because they think their home will not look good, but believe me, I have an eye and can make it look great. These can be especially intimate when gifting your spouse an album.

  • Rented studio. This is a wonderful option. There are so many absolutely gorgeous studios around that are perfect for boudoir.

  • Rented Airbnb/ VRBO/ etc. Another great choice! Want a little vacay out of your session? Most people only rent these out for 2 nights, but how fun would it be to make a weekend out of your boudoir experience. There are so many unique and adorable homes around.

  • Your BFF’s home. Does your friend or family member have a great home?

  • Hotel room. Hotel rooms can be good, simple and easy option.

  • Outdoors. Let’s find a secluded location and get wild. Or we can do part of the shoot in the backyard of the location.

Whatever you decide, know that I will be there making the decision with you every step of the way.

The Day of Your Session

It’s finally here! Nervous? Excited? A little bit of both? No worries, I got you. I know it can be overwhelming, but don’t forget the reasons you are doing this!

Make sure to get there a little early so that we are not rushed. I will get there a little early too to set up my light, check out the space to get a mental workflow, and look at your outfits. Then we will plan out which outfits will go with what scene in the space we are at. Next, it’s time to put your first ‘fit on and get started!

Your session will be laid back. I will go at your pace and always make sure that you are comfortable and taken care of.

I’ll be there for you, and don’t worry, I’ll show you how good you look on the back of the camera.

Tips Before Your Session

Stay hydrated leading up to your shoot, for glowing skin.

Don’t procrastinate shopping for your outfits or finding a hair and makeup artist (if you’re getting one). Who wants to be stressing last minute?

Do a Pinterest search for inspiration. Then send it to me! I love seeing what you like so that I can serve you to the best of my ability!

Don’t wear tight clothes to your session! I don’t want you to have indentations from your clothing during your shoot.

If you are going to color your hair, do it around a month before your session. We want you to feel comfortable and confident, so live in it for a little bit.

Don’t get a spray tan right before your shoot. Make sure if you are going to get one, do it at least a couple days before your shoot.

Stretch before your session! Yeah you heard me right. You are going to be put into a lot of hip popping and toe pointing positions. A lot of times, clients are sore after their session!

Get a mani/ pedi if that’s your thing. I feel so good with a fresh set of nails.

After Your Session

  1. In the following days, I will soft edit your photos.

  2. Next, I send your proofed photos to a password protected online gallery. You will look at your photos and favorite the ones you like. *On a computer preferably!

  3. Once you narrow down your photo selections, then we will decide which products best fit your needs if you want products. We will have a Zoom call to do this step.

  4. After that decision, I will send an invoice. You will pay the same way you paid for your experience fee. If you do not want products, then you will just receive your selected photos through the same online gallery.

  5. From there, after you have paid in full, your products will be delivered in 4-6 weeks from full payment.

Payment Plans

Payment Plans are offered monthly, bi-monthly, weekly. I will work with you to set up the payments. You can break the payments up between 6 months.

Down-payment: In order to receive the payment plan option, I require a down-payment of $150.

If the payment is more than 5 days past due, you will receive a $25 late payment, which is only applied each time a payment is late.

No products are ordered until the entire invoice is paid in full.

All sales are final!

My goal: to make everything as easy and flexible as possible for you!
